In this week’s episode of the B-Side, we discuss the account recorded in Matthew 22:35-40, when Yeshua (Jesus) was asked about the greatest of the commandments of God. Many will correctly point out that His response was to love God first (as the greatest of the commands) and to love people second, but there’s more to what He is telling us.
What does it mean in practice to look to our Eternal Father as our first love, why is it important, and what happens when we displace Him (or even replace Him) with the other “loves” of our life?
