Have you ever felt like a broken record in your walk of faith? If so, then you are not alone. Most of us probably have. We are all broken, faulty, and flawed in various ways, and (as believers in Jesus) we look to the Father for answers. Sit in with us as we seek after those answers together, with the goal of deepening our relationship with our Savior.

The A-Si...I Mean...Round Table | Scorpions on the Waterfront
Wednesday Jul 12, 2023
Wednesday Jul 12, 2023
In this week's episode, we talk about pride, the sin nature, and the pain in our hearts that too often deepens it. Are we yielding ourselves to Jesus in order to be healed from past abuses and made new, or are we contributing to a cycle of hurt that will never end apart from our Savior?
Let's discuss that together.

The B-Side E08 | Worth the Weight (Revelation 3:1-6)
Saturday Jul 08, 2023
Saturday Jul 08, 2023
On this week’s episode of the B-Side, Carl and Coffee Mike sit down one-on-one to talk about, among other things, a passage from Revelation chapter 3. What can modern believers learn from Jesus’ rebuke to the broader faith community in ancient Sardis? This brings us to a connection with a rebuke Jesus gives the Pharisees in Matthew chapter 23. Are we stumbling in a similar way, and are we blinding ourselves to it like they did? Also, we look at the faithful remnant in Sardis, and what it means when Jesus declares them “worthy”.
Let's dig in together!

Wednesday Jul 05, 2023
Wednesday Jul 05, 2023
In this episode the round table spends their time together with an open topic. What's on their hearts and minds? Are they trusting God? Are they asking for mercy for themselves, but struggle asking for mercy for others? Most importantly, are they acknowledging God?

The B-Side E07 | Sin, Sabbath, and Hypocrisy: A Tough Talk Begins
Saturday Jul 01, 2023
Saturday Jul 01, 2023
This week, on the B-Side of the record, we talk about how God defines sin in Scripture, and how we too often rebel against that definition, even as believers. That leads us to an introductory discussion on what will be our overarching topic for the next few weeks: The Biblical Sabbath. Why does it matter? It’s easy to point out the sins that most of us agree on, such as sexual immorality, but what about the Fourth Commandment? Man tells us that it’s not relevant to followers of Jesus, but what does God say?
Let’s dig into the Word and find out together.

The B-Side E06 | Love, Hate, and Bearing Weight (Luke 14:26; Galatians 6:1-5)
Saturday Jun 24, 2023
Saturday Jun 24, 2023
This week on the B-Side, we discuss two controversial references; one relating to our love of God, and the other relating to our love of one another. Does Jesus instruct us to hate our own family in order to love Him? And does Paul tell us to bear one another’s burdens right before stating that we can only carry our own burdens? Join us as we make sense of these passages, while learning an important lesson on what it truly means to love God in a way that leads to properly loving our neighbor.

Round Table | The Begethering
Wednesday Jun 21, 2023
Wednesday Jun 21, 2023
This week, the guys of the round table discuss what it means to be better together, as well as accidentally coining a new term: begether!
We talk about the ways we encourage and uplift one another, why it's important, and share some of the difficulties we struggle with in letting others into our lives (especially when we have been hurt by those who we thought were our friends in the past).

The B-Side E05 | First Loves and Top Laws (Matthew 22:35-40)
Saturday Jun 17, 2023
Saturday Jun 17, 2023
In this week’s episode of the B-Side, we discuss the account recorded in Matthew 22:35-40, when Yeshua (Jesus) was asked about the greatest of the commandments of God. Many will correctly point out that His response was to love God first (as the greatest of the commands) and to love people second, but there’s more to what He is telling us.
What does it mean in practice to look to our Eternal Father as our first love, why is it important, and what happens when we displace Him (or even replace Him) with the other “loves” of our life?

Round Table | Deflection: Protection or Justification
Wednesday Jun 14, 2023
Wednesday Jun 14, 2023
In this episode, the Round Table discusses what it's like to deflect things in their life, before becoming a believer and even after. Do they deflect things for protection, or do they deflect things for their own justification?
We pray that this episode helps you in anyway that He sees.

The B-Side E04 | Wayward Hearts and Kingdom Playbooks
Saturday Jun 10, 2023
Saturday Jun 10, 2023
It's time to flip it over to the B-Side!
In this week’s episode of the B-Side, we have a discussion surrounding the passage of the Book of Judges which says, “In those days Israel had no king. Everyone did whatever in their own heart seemed right.”
What does that teach us about the people during this period in Israel’s history, and what does it teach us about the churches today? Are we repeating the errors of the past? And can Carl find a way to bring in another soccer analogy?
Join us at the table as we seek to answer these questions, and discover a lesson for our own day.
